The 2007-08 financial year proved to be a difficult one for investors. But while the investment returns for the 12 months to 30 June were disappointing for most of UniSuper’s investment options, all options continue to produce solid long-term returns, both in absolute terms, and when compared with their benchmarks and peers.
While past performance is never a guarantee of what will happen in the future, it does provide us with a useful perspective on what’s currently happening on investment markets.
