How to make a payment before 30 June

There’s some great reasons to contribute a little extra to your super before 30 June. Here’s how to make a payment.

Making a payment

It’s easy to make a voluntary payment using BPAY or cheque. Unfortunately, UniSuper does not accept cash payments or Electronic Funds Transfers.

Using BPAY

With BPAY there are no forms to fill out – just transfer your contribution directly into your UniSuper account.

The BPAY daily limit is $450,000.

To make a payment using BPAY you will need the following details:

Payment Biller code Reference number
Member lump sum contributions 78519 The customer reference number is your member number*
Spouse contributions 78535 The customer reference number is your member number*
Non-participating employer (NPE) contributions 78543

The customer reference number is your employer number followed by your member number with no spaces in between

If your employer doesn’t have an employer number please contact our Helpline to register your employer.

*If your member number starts with 137, 138 or 139 please read the important information below.

Please note: You can’t use BPAY to make a before-tax (concessional) contribution. Any before-tax contributions will need to be made by cheque.

By cheque

To make a payment by cheque, simply:

1. Download, print and complete a Lump Sum Contribution form

2. Make out a cheque to UniSuper Limited – please write your UniSuper membership number on the reverse side.

3. Mail your form and cheque to:

UniSuper
Level 37, 385 Bourke Street
MELBOURNE VIC 3000

Does your member number start with 137, 138 or 139?

If your UniSuper member number starts with 137, 138 or 139, you may experience difficulties using BPAY.

If this happens, you will need to add an extra digit to your member number and create a unique BPAY customer reference number.

To find out what this number is, just follow these simple steps:

1. Open our BPAY CRN Generator

2. Enter your UniSuper member number in the space provided.

3. Click 'generate'.

You will then be provided with your unique BPAY customer reference number.

This number will usually be your member number plus an additional number at the end. For example, if your member number is 13811440, the calculated number is 1. In this example, you would need to enter 138114401 as your customer reference number when you use BPAY.

Unfortunately, if the additional number that is generated is 0 (zero), BPAY contributions cannot be accepted. However, you can still make a payment by cheque.

Payments must be received by Friday 27 June

The end of financial year deadline is fast approaching.

As 30 June 2008 falls on a Monday this year, you must submit your BPAY contributions by Friday 27 June to make sure UniSuper receive the contribution by 30 June.

Members will be able to drop off cheques to the UniSuper Melbourne office on Monday 30 June. The cut-off time for accepting cheques is 1.30pm (AEST) to allow sufficient time for the cheques to be banked.

UniSuper does not back date contributions. This is a legislative requirement. If a contribution has not been received by the UniSuper Melbourne office on or before 30 June, it will not be counted for the 2007/2008 financial year.
