Your investment options

UniSuper offers its accumulation members 12 investment options and the flexibility to choose from our Pre-Mixed options or take a more active role by creating a Self-Select portfolio (drawing on both the Pre-Mixed and the Single Asset Class options).

Pre-mixed options

If you're looking for a low maintenance investment, and prefer to have investments chosen and managed on your behalf, our Pre-mixed options could be a good option.

Simply select the single option below that best suits your current financial circumstances, your level of comfort with investment risk, and the goals you have set for your personal super and retirement savings.  All of your accumulation super will then be invested in this single option.

For more information about the performance of each investment option, download a copy of our Investing for the future booklet.

Create your own Self-Select portfolio

If you’re a sophisticated investor who has experience in managing investments and are prepared to regularly monitor your investments, you may like to take a Self-Select approach whereby you determine your own unique mix of assets.

The Self-Select menu consists of all eight Pre-Mixed options as well as four Single Asset Class investments, outlined below.

Pre-Mixed

Single Asset Class

If you create your own investment mix from the Self-Select menu, you are responsible for monitoring the asset allocation of the portfolio you create, and, if necessary, making the required adjustments to ensure your portfolio continues to be invested according to your needs.

For more information about the performance of each investment option, download a copy of our Investing for the future booklet.

Self-Select investment fee

A Self-Select investment fee of $30 applies if you choose to invest your account in more than one investment option and/or one of the single-asset class investment options. This fee is deducted from your account at the end of each six-monthly statement period.

Please refer to our Investing for the future booklet for more information.
