We're licensed to give advice

UniSuper holds an Australian Financial Services Licence, which means that our staff are qualified to offer advice on UniSuper products and superannuation-related topics, including:

• Your retirement benefit options (eg. whether to take a lump sum or pension)
• strategies to save more super, such as salary sacrifice and combining old superannuation accounts
• Making the most of superannuation tax benefits through strategies such as transition to retirement
• Eligibility for Social Security pensions and benefits.

Arranging broader financial advice

If you need advice beyond superannuation, we can refer you to external financial advisers who deal with non-super products. They operate independently of UniSuper and we don't pay them commissions. While each financial adviser has their own fee structure, we’ve negotiated competitive rates with them for you.
