Grow your super

One small step now can make a big difference later.

It can be easy to forget about your super. After all, it’s money you cant access, for a future you probably haven’t planned yet.

But your super is one of the biggest investments you’ll make in your lifetime. So, it’s important to start planning today and ensure you’re making the steps towards retiring comfortably.

Discover some simple ways to take control of your super now, and set up the future lifestyle you deserve:

  • Check you’re on track with your savings
Use our Super and retirement calculator and take the first step to see how much super you’re likely to need for your future.

  • Save on fees and costs
The more super funds you have, the more fees you are likely to pay. Use the Rollover brochure and form to combine your super into your UniSuper account.
  • Supply your tax file number
If you haven’t supplied us with your tax file number (TFN) you may be paying extra tax on your super. It’s easy to provide your TFN, simply complete the Tax file number collection form today.

  • Find your lost super
If you’ve switched jobs, moved house or changed names there may be some unclaimed super waiting for you. Visit the Australian Tax Office website to track down your lost super.

  • Get a government boost
Find out if you’re eligible for a government co-contribution for every after-tax dollar you contribute to your super - up to a maximum of $1,000 in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 financial years.

  • Reap the rewards of compound interest
Your employer contributions may not be enough to provide you with the lifestyle you want in your future. Another way to build super is to make member contributions. By contributiong to super earlier, members with accumulation accounts can take advantage of compound interest in periods of positive investment returns.

  • Connect with your super savings
Use the UniSuper secure member site, MemberOnline to access your UniSuper account, update your details and keep connected with your super.
