Optional Insurance cover
At UniSuper, we don’t just assist you to invest and grow your super savings, we also have insurance arrangements in place that help protect you and your family from the financial consequences of accident, illness and death.
The Trustee has taken out group life policies with Hannover Life Re of Australasia Ltd, ABN 37 062 395 484 (the Insurer) to provide the insurance cover to members.
What types of insurance cover are available?
Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria, as a UniSuper member you have access to:
- Death and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover available to Accumulation 1, Accumulation 2, Defined Benefit Division and Spouse Account members*. This cover may help you and your family manage day-to-day living expenses if you become disabled, terminally ill, or die.
- Income Protection cover available to Accumulation 1 and Spouse Account members. This cover may help you keep up with your daily living expenses if you’re unlucky enough to be off work for a period of time due to an unexpected injury or illness.
