Money magazine has today announced the winners of their prestigious annual awards. These awards recognise excellence in financial services, superior investment performance, low fees, and funds that truly deliver for their members.

UniSuper has taken top spot in five of Money  magazine’s 2022 awards – the most any super fund has ever won in one year. The fund secured the Best Super Fund, Best Growth Pension Product, Best Equities ESG Super Product, Best Growth Super Product, and Best International Share Super Product awards.

These accolades reaffirm that UniSuper is one of Australia’s best-performing superannuation funds, providing a record of great returns across a variety of investment options* for the nation’s thinkers, creators and investigators, according to Chief Executive Officer Peter Chun.

“We don’t aim to be the biggest fund; we aim to be the best. I am very proud to win awards because they validate the strength of our performance. And ultimately, that’s what we’re measured on. I really believe our brilliant thinkers and innovative approach means we have the best value super in Australia.

“Our fund has been a hidden gem, with low fees and top performance. We’re very proud to compete as a public offer fund now, and to use our scale and performance to create a future worth retiring for our members.” Mr Chun said.

"Congratulations to the team at UniSuper - awarded this year's Money magazine Super Fund of the Year. Its strong performance in this year's awards, coming top in four categories (Best Growth Super Products, Best Equities Super Product, and Best International Shares Super Product) and strong showings in the top five in other categories all contributed to why it won the top super award,"

"Unisuper is a thoughtful, astute and thinking organisation that takes its fiduciary role really seriously. Now that UniSuper is available to the public, it will become a really formidable player in the super industry."
[Rainmaker executive director, research and compliance, Alex Dunnin]

Peter Chun added, “I’d like to extend my congratulations to the whole team at UniSuper. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees, who play a vital role in protecting and growing our members’ life savings. Picking up these awards is the perfect ending to a phenomenal year for UniSuper and I look forward to building on these achievements in 2022 and beyond.”

This comes only weeks after UniSuper was awarded Fund of the Year 2022 by leading ratings agency, SuperRatings.
