UniSuper wins two awards from Chant West – 2022 Super Fund of the Year and Best Fund: Advice Services

Super Fund of the Year and Best Fund: Advice Services.
To have Chant West’s Super Fund of the Year accompany Pension Fund of the Year in 2021 in our trophy cabinet – and be recognised as the best of the best – is a major milestone. It’s a nod to our open fund offering: super products, investment management that keeps fees low and leading Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, just to name a few. We’re looking after our members from their accumulation phase right through to their retirement.
Chant West is a leading research and analytics provider that offers services, insights and tools to the financial advice and super sectors with the ultimate goal of empowering more informed financial decision-making. Its Super Fund Awards recognise excellence across 13 awards categories, and ultimately help lift standards across the super industry and improve member outcomes.
Alongside our Pension Fund of the Year in 2021 victory, we were finalists in five award categories last year: Super Fund of the Year, Best Fund: Investments, Best Fund: Insurance, Best Fund: Longevity and Best Fund: Advice.
Since then, we’ve raised the bar. The honour of Super Fund of the Year for 2022 wasn’t our only win – we were also named Best Fund: Advice, and that’s on top of five other nominations.
We’re incredibly proud to be awarded Best Fund: Advice. We want to see our members retire well – financially and emotionally. It’s at the heart of everything we do.
To be recognised with this award fills us with confidence that our members trust us, and that they’re retiring with a plan. Our expert advice team helps members manage and grow their retirement savings at every stage of their financial journey, and in the past year alone, the team interacted with UniSuper members more than 74,000 times.

It’s not the first significant awards we’ve received as an open fund. Earlier this year we were named Money Magazine’s Best Super Fund of the Year 2022 and awarded Canstar’s 2022 Outstanding Value Superannuation Award in our first eligible year. UniSuper opened to the public in July 2021, making it eligible for review by Canstar.
For 40 years, UniSuper was only open to those in the higher education and research sector. Now anyone can join the fund that offers greater super. It's quick and easy to apply online.
